Shipping Policy
We only ship within the 50 US states. We are unable to ship outside of this area for now. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to certain destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider we use, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. We are only able to confirm actual shipping duration after an order has been placed.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are both weight and volume based. Shipping cost is calculated based on the weight, size and distance. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Return & Exchange Policy
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain 5 business days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at africanfoodembassy@gmail.com.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges
The nature and safety of food products limit item return. However, items that are defective or damaged in the process of shipping can be returned within 7 days of receiving it.
This means that it needs to be received at our store within 14 days of delivery. We will replace the item, give store credit, or issue refund when returned item is received at our store and deemed fit for a refund

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
